Whats the Difference

How do you know what type of Website suits you? The most common type of site is the html (type of coding) site. These sites require some knowledge of code and/or some fairly expensive software. Making changes is fairly cumbersome so if you are going to make any regular additions or changes it can be both time consuming and expensive.

If you have the time and desire to maintain your own site then I highly recommend a CMS site. There are literally thousands of templates available for a very affordable price. Using a template cuts down on the time it takes to create a site because the framework is there. Most web designers can get a CMS site up within a week. With the "what you see is what you get" formatting you shouldn't need to know any code and objects pretty much stay where you put them. This makes it easy to update and change your site.

A Flash site is not for everyone. Without the software it is impossible to edit a Flash site. It is mor time consuming making changes and Flash sites are not very search engine friendly.Using flash in the header ir the body of a site gives the site points of interest. We all prefer looking at pictures as opposed to reading text.

Discuss the options with your webmaster then decide together.
